How much does a glasses repair cost?

Glasses bought from us: minor repairs are free.

Glasses bought elsewhere: a minimum charge of £10, and we give you a gift voucher for the same amount to spend with us on a future purchase.

What customers say

★★★★★

“Gavin repaired my severely damaged glasses after I sat on them. He saved the day, I was able to drive the following day for an important assessment.”

Yvette C. · Google review
★★★★★

“I’ve never been a fan of the big high street chains where you feel like just another number being pushed through the system. Winstanley was the complete opposite. The turnaround on my glasses was far faster than I expected, without compromising on quality.”

How much does a glasses repair cost in Liverpool?

Minor repairs to glasses bought from us are free. For glasses bought elsewhere there is a minimum charge of £10, and we give you a gift voucher for the same amount to spend with us on a future purchase.

Do you repair glasses bought somewhere else?

Yes. Bring them in whoever made them. There is a minimum charge of £10, and you get a gift voucher for the same amount towards a future purchase with us.

Can you fix a loose or missing screw in my glasses?

Yes. Loose and missing screws are one of the most common repairs we do.

Can you replace the nose pads on my glasses?

Yes. Worn, yellowed or missing nose pads can be replaced, which also helps glasses sit where they should.

My glasses keep slipping down my nose. Can you fix them?

Usually, yes. Frames that slip, pinch or sit crooked can be adjusted so they sit properly on your face.

Can you re-thread rimless or half-rim glasses?

Yes. If the nylon cord that holds the lens in a half-rim frame has snapped or stretched, we can re-thread it.

Can you replace one lens in my glasses?

Yes, if the frame is sound. We need your prescription, and one less than two years old from any practice is fine. If your last eye test was with us, we already have it.

Do you repair designer glasses?

Yes, including designer frames. Bring them in and we will tell you what can be done.

Do I need an appointment for a glasses repair?

What if my glasses can’t be repaired?

Some damage, such as a snapped hinge, a broken metal joint or a broken arm, usually means the frame needs replacing. We will tell you honestly and show you the options, and if you need glasses quickly see broken or lost glasses.
